FRONT LINE April 24
During the day fifty 7.7 cms one hundred and twenty
10 cms and one hundred and thirty cms fell in our area
from Enemy guns. Included in preciding were 35 hostile
gas shells. Between 8 and 10 am their Light Artillery
paid special attention to TIRED ALLEY. We also received
nine rounds from their Light Trench Mortars. Apart
from their shelling, the enemy remains very quiet.
There was a very heavy bombardment put on by our
artillery after dark.
Weather:- Cold early in morning. Foggy throughout the day.
Heavy thunderstorm and rain in the evening.
Visibility poor and wind mild North East. RBO'S
