DIVISIONAL RESERVE April 22
Operation Order No 23 issued.
Reference Map MAREOUIL 1/20.000.
The 38th Can. Inf. Bn. will relieve the 85th Can. Inf. Batt
in the Front Line - right sub-section - on the night 22/23rd
April 1918.
Disposition - "A" and "D" Companies in the front line,
"A" on the left and "D" on the right. "B" and "C" Comps.
in Support, "B" on the left, "C" on the right.
Advance Party, whilst going in, sustained casualties.
Weather:- fair thro' the day but drizzled in evening. Warmer. RBO'S

FRONT LINE Right sub section 23
There was some scattered shelling of our whole area
between noon and 3 pm. special attention beign paid
by the enemy to B.10. Betwen 4 and 4.30 pm there
was a fairly heavy bombardment by the enemy of
B.10.d and B.10.c. The shells falling mostly between
ARLEUX ROAD and our front line. Four enemy planes
flying high passed South over B.10 at 3 pm.
Generally, the enemy was quiet.
Weather:- Cold early in the morning, but gradually
became warmer with bright sun in afternoon.
visibility fair and wind was mild North West.
Six of the advance party were killed yesterday and
then bodies bought to the Transport Lines. RBO'S
