Front Line OPPY SECTION April 12 cont.
Three Patrol parties, consisting of two officers and five
OR. with five scouts in one party by themselves proceeded
to ARLEUX ROAD, TIRED ALLEY. C.T. and to enemy block? at
B.5.c.70. Two fighting patrols, consisting of three officers
and 24 OR. were also out.
Divisional Orders having been issued for the formation
of a Brigade Reserve. The 12th Brigade followed with its
orders for combing out every man available from the
Transport Lines. Weather :- Warm, clear & good visibility RBO'S

do 13 Transport Lines moved in the forenoon to ROSS Camp
BERTHONVILLE AREA. Intelligence reports showed that
hostile ARtillery very quiet. Three hits were obtained
by our snipers. Visibility poor throughout the day &
Enemy very quiet. Wind - Fresh North East, cold most of
the day.

do 14 Men from Transport Lines reported to Brigade for Brigade
Reserve. One officer and 20 OR reinforcements reported.
Hostile shelling, including 6 gas, fairly active, otherwise
the enemy was exceptionally quiet. Our own Artillery
did some damage to our Trenches & necessitated the
withdrawal of our posts by firing short. Considerable
movement by the enemy was noticed, but generally
