BRIGADE RESERVE 1918 April 1
Batt. in Brigade Reserve, as per Oper Order no. 17. with Transport
Lines remaining at Carency. Reference Map MAROEUIL.
Hun plane brought down one of our Observation Balloons about
4.45 pm four more were sent down in flames. As the Hun
flew on practically a level line from one balloon to another,
it is difficult to understand. The reason of the poor
shooting of the A.A. guns. With fine weather, planes
were busy and Huns were busy at night.
Routine Orders by Officer Commanding Canadian Corpt,
under date March 27th contained the following.

Summary of Report on inspection of Transport carried
out by O.C. No 4 Cny. 4th Div. Train on 20th March, gives
