enemy raid on the 38th Battalion lines on night
of 16th/17th March are repeated for information.

From the CORPS COMMANDER.
"Please convey to the 38th Bn. my sincere congratula-
tions on their success in repulsing enemy's raid,
in secutring identifications and in killing so many
of raiding party.

From the DIVISIONAL COMMANDER
"Please convey my
hearty congratulations to the 38th Bn. on their
splendid work in repulsing the enemy raid
on the night of the 16th/17th.

The value of active patrol-
ling and the efficient use of the weapons in the
hands of the Infantry were well illustrated.

The BRIGADE COMMANDER desires to add his con-
gratulations to those of the Corps and Divisional
Commanders.

Our people put on a Gas attack in the course
of the evening and heavy artillery on both side
