night, Colonel Edwards, who is going on leave to-
morrow, also sleeping in PETIT. Weather very cold. RBO'S

FRONT LINE AVION SECTOR 19
Batt. in Front Line in AVION Sector. Transport pulled
out from PETIT for the lines built by the 47th Batt.
of the 10th Brigade. The Colonel went on leave via
automobile to BOULOGNE. First Line Transport
arrived early in the forenoon at their destination
unloaded and commenced settling down. Just
at lunch time, a couple of the 47th officers arrived
& stated that the Transport of the 47th had also
been ordered to occupy the lines in which the
38th had located. After an hour spent in deci-
ding what should be done, the 38th Transport
received orders to move on further and locate in
the 11th Brigade Lines. Practically all the work
of loading had to be done a second time and na-
turally there was a great deal of grumbling.
Canadians will endure any hardship and face
any necessary danger, without a murmur, but
