War Diary Month November 1917

Place -- Date -- Hour -- Summary of Events and Information Remarks and references to Appendices

LOZINGHEM 1917 Nov 30
Evidently anxious to find out if the Canadians are
back on the job there. The men regard the AVION area
as their own particular Hun hunting ground, as
ten months were spent by the 38th on the VIMY RIDGE,
AVION and LA COULOTTE fronts. "We must get LENS"
seems to be the universal ambition and the spirit
of the new bodes ill for the Huns whose ill fate
will be to attempt to block the Royal Ottawas.
An inspection of the 38th Battalion was held in
the afternoon at which Major General David
Watson, C.B. C.M.G. Commanding the Fourth Di-
vision, was present.
Weather was fine and mild throughout the day. RBO'S
