LOZINGHEM 1917 Nov 29
rounding into condition for another hard bout.
Our aeroplanes were out all day and after drill,
several of the men strolled over to the aerodrome
which is near and watched the big birds ri-
sing to their flight and others alighting. There
is a great fascination in watching operations that
are carried on in an element of nature with which
the uninitiated have nothing in common except
for breathing, and the men appear to enjoy the
spectacle provided by the aerodrome field, as
much as any Concert show. RBO'S

do 30 Mr. Elder, Signals, and Capt. Hackett, M.O. with
other ranks left for Old Country leave in the fore-
noon. Syllabus of training continued. Papers
received this morning contain the information that
the Huns had attempted raids on the AVION trenches
