CAESTRE AREA 4 Today was devoted to rest with a Church Service
at 3.00 o'clock in the afternoon, by Major A.M. Gordon
M.C. Senior Chaplain 4th Can. Div. Weather clear & fair. RBO'S

do 5. With the other Battalions of the Brigade, the 38th was
inspected at 2.00 o'clock this afternoon at BORRE
by Lieut. Gen. Sir A.W. Currie, C.R. commanding
the Canadian Corps. and who expressed appreci-
ation of the splendid service rendered by the
Battalion in the operations against PASSCHENDALE
Ridge October 29th to Nov. 2nd. General Currie
emphasized the difficult task which had been
assigned to the Canadian Corps at this time and
sincerely thanked this Battalion for the prominent
