POTIZJE AREA 1917 Nov 1 cont.
by the Transport Officer and the N.C.O.'s and personnel
of the Transport section, when on the ZONNEBEKE ROAD
the train was shelled and also gassed. The Trans-
port Officer, Capt. W.B. Magloughlin, though suffering
from concussion and gas poisoning, remained on
duty and with the assistance of I/Corp. W. Wendland,
who was wounded, and C.O.M.S. R. Reuton, re-assem-
bled the train which had become dis-organized from
the shelling, withdrew it from the shelled area and
then assisted in attending to the wounded.
The following letter was received at a later date by
Capt. Mcgloughlin.
