In accordance with Divisional Orders, the Second in Command of the
Battalion, two Company Commanders, two Second in Command of Companies and
remaining Platoon Officers in excess of three per Company remained out of the line RFP.
at Transport, together with one third of all specialists of the Battalion. The forward
positions were occupied with slight casualties, weather conditions overhead with
bright moonlight being favorable for movement although ground conditions were
extremely bad.

The attacks outlined in Operation Order no. 104 was carried out at dawn, RFP.
5.40 A.M., all objectives being held.

Our bosses in the Reserve Area were considerable, the position occupied
by "B" Company in particular being heavily shelled immediately after the advance RFP.
of the Brigade commenced. Hostile Artillery activity was very intense throughout
the entire day. Early in the afternoon, our B, C and D Companies were sent forward to
reinforce the 85th, 78th and 72nd Battalions respectively and assist in consolidation
of the new line.

At 6 P.M. the reported casualties among Officers included Lieut. E.N. Almas RFP.
killed, Major J. N? Motherwell, Lieutenant Burr, F.H. Rose, H.W. Banks, G.W. wounded,
while the estimated losses among other ranks was 25 killed and 80 wounded.
