Staple Area 1917 Oct. 23 8.15 AM.
Battalion moved from billets, embussed at 9 a.m. and proceeded RFP.
to BRANDHOEK area in Belgium by moto lorries. Reached ERIE
Camp at 2 P.M. and entire battalion is in huts. Transport
arrived at 1 P.M. Weather, Dull, occasional showers
BRANDHOEK area 24 The day was devoted to Company Training and Organization.
Weather clear during day; raining at night. Transport supplies. RFP.
Pack company at night for supplies for 10th Brigade in the Line.

do 25 This forenoon 80 officers and N.C.O.'s went to TEN ELMS
near POPERINCHE to see "relief map" of the new front RFP.
line area. The Battalion was bathed during day; also
gas protective appearances of all ranks inspected. Weather
clear and cool. Considerable hostile aerial activity in BRANDHOEK area RFP.

do 26 Advance Party with Capt. McCULLOCH, D.A., in charge, composed of 35 other
ranks, proceedes to POTISZE area -- one mile EAST of YPRES to
take over camp and transport lines to be occupied by this
