and artillery has apparently been concentrated on
Right Battalion front during the past 24 hours. RBO'S

15 Batt. in Front Line. Transport and Quarter Master
details paid. PATROL REPORT:--
A daylight patrol of three other ranks 541240. Sergeant
H.W. Langdon in charge, endeavored to penetrate en-
emy lines at junction of road and railway at N.27.
c.60.35. Patrol started from N.27.c.2.0. and advanced
to N.27.c.40.15. From this point it traversed as far
as N.27.c.50.25. They then came under fire from en-
emey riflemen in ruins at N.27.c.60.28. and were
forced to retire. The Intelligence gained was
to the effect that Wire from N.27.c.40.15. to N.27.c.55.30.
is in good condition and consists of double rows
of Concertina wire, plain and barbed, held in po-
sition by stakes. In the road at N.37.c.55.25.
there is a narrow zig-zag path through the wire.
Three Scouts left our lines at N.36.c.72.80. at 9.00 pm
for the purpose of locating Machine Gun and
Trench Mortar which had been very active.
