Front Line 1917 Sep 12 cont.
an enemy party was observed on path at about N.34.a.2.5.
It turned North East and disappeared in shallow
trench at 1.30 pm. There is apparently an enemy
sentry post at N.33.a.6.6. The water from Canal
at N.26.a.9.8. to N.27.a.10.10. swinging South to N.32.
a.7.4, has risen about fifteen inches during the last
ten days: apparently the dam was broken by our
heavy shelling of the GREEN CRASSIER, and has now been
repaired. RBO'S

Front Line 13
A Patrol of six men under no 541240. Srgt. H. W. Laugdon
recounoitred the position at N.27.c.3.5. There is at this
point a badly damaged concrete emplacement or
dugous and the debris of a house, but there was no
sign of recent occupation. From N.27.c.3.4. to
N.27.c.35.55., there is a barrier of logs and branches
in which there is a small platform for a machine
gun. This, however, apparently, has not been used
for some time. The usual protective patrols
were out on this Battalion frontage and report
no enemy movement.
