or an area dump. A sniping gun would be very effective
if turned on this spot, as the approach to it is three hun-
dred yards without cover.
There has been less enemy movement than usual during
the past 24 hours due probably to our sniping and machine
gun activity. Throughout the night, the enemy displayed
a nervous attitude as shown by exceedingly large num-
ber of flares and that the fact of the appearance of our
patrol at N.26.b.6.4. caused a bombing fusilade
all along this front.
