Front Line 1917 June 15 cont.
hostile artillery has been inactive, but a number of gas shells
were directed against M.26.6.3.6. at 8.30 last evening. About
150 granatenwerfers bombs were used during the night around
s.6.b.6.3. M.36.d.6.4. and from T.1.c.4.9. to T.1.d.0.6. There was
little firing on our front line by enemy Machine Gun & rifle fire
Two enemy planes crossed over our lines last evening & one this
forenoon. They were driven back by our A.A. & machine gun fire.
The following message was received from General MacBrien
by the C.O. "hearty congratulations to you and your
Transport Section on their victory with the travelling kitchen
& on splendid showing in the Tranport Group. RBO'S

do 16 Brigade sub-staff paid. Enemy front & supply lines,
especially as far as KIRK TRENCH were subjected to heavy bom-
bardment during the past 24 hours. & we also gave them con-
siderable shrapnel. Our Trench Mortars, Machine Guns &
rifles have been active. Our aircraft were particularly
