Scouts recounoitred enemy wire last night from T.1. & 3.8. to
T.I.a.5.6. From the point T.1.a.5-6. to T.1.a.2.7. the wire
is uncut and from the latter point there is a gap of about
eighteen feet, not all clean, but broken. From the gap to
the left there are few places where the wire has been damaged
but not cut through. Last night's patrol, as did also the
patrol of hte previous night, located Machine Gun firing
over our front. Bearings were taken yesterday which shows
this gun to be at M. 36. T. 65.15. This same gun fired back
right over our front. Another Machine Gun fired from either
the trench in front or the brick pile behind at J. 1.a.6.8.
The enemy put up one green, one red, single and double
