Villers-au-Bois Feb 1. Battalion at Villers-au-Bois and Bijoli Line. Transport
Lines at Petit. Servius - B & D. Co's more up to Bijoli Line
and a. and C. Cos come out from Bijoli Line to Villers.
Fifth Company paid by P... at Chateau. Very cold. RBO's
2 A & C. Co's at Villers. Paid in afternoon. 5th Co. in-
spected by Gen. Nelson. German aeroplanes very
active. Have scored our own of our batteries. Very cold. RBO's
3 A & C. Cos at Villers. B & D. Cos at Bijoli Line.
Very cold, but sure gave warmth at noon. 38th men
at Division at chool paid. School still quaran-
tined & new cases of measles & m? had developed. RBO's.
4. A & C Co's at Villers. B. & D. Cos at Bijoli Line, making
an extra day out. Very cold. Bright sun.
5 Batt. moves up to trenches at Vimy Ridge. Bright
& cold. Major Parkinson returned from leave. Had
breakfast at Savoy Hotel, London and arrived in
trenches at Vimy Ridge in time for dinner. The
38th the only batt. paid. Cold. RBO's.
Trenches 6 Batt. in trenches at Vimy Ridge. Artillery active.
Bright & cold. British aeroplane compelled to alight
in vicinity of Trustford- - Lines after fight with 2 Germans. RBO's
