That under each distinctive head shall be entered
all the items as particularly as they can be
described, E.g. The Library account shall contain
a distinctive description of every single volume & work
and the cost of each and so of the elements by description
and cost of the items composing the other accounts
and so of the General account current it shall
be made up from the footings of all of the other
accounts- And these accounts with such [crossed out]other[end crossed out]
additions and deductions, as may from time to time
be made shall be laid before the Board of Trustees
at their annual meetings, together with the
Cash account current inclusive of Debts & Credits
heretofore provided for by Resolution of this Board,
to the End that the Board of Trustees, may at
each of their annual meetings have full and
reliable knowlege of the true condition of the
fiscal affairs of the O.U. thus including
and presenting in from the entire values, &
assets of the Institution whether Real & personal,
Credits or Debts.
Resolved that in no case shall any person
employed by the Institution be paid in advance
of services rendered whether for salaries or otherwise.
Mr Hubbard also offered the following Resolution
which was adopted, viz;
Resolved that the Acting Committee be authorised
& empowered to accept donations & subscriptions
for the [crossed out][illegible][end crossed out][inserted]Election[end inserted] and completion of a chapel of suitable
size to well accomodate the students and others who
may desire to attend upon the services in the same;
And they are authorised if in their Judgment they
deem it [crossed out]just[end crossed out] best, [crossed out][illegible][end crossed out][inserted]and if[end inserted] the Donations & Subscriptions
are sufficient therefor, & not sufficient to build
a new Chapel out right, to use so much of the
upper story of the East wing, as may be
amply sufficient for the purpose- Provided
none of the funds of the Institution shall be
used for that purpose.
