certificates of Scholarship, the number sold
is less than last year.
The Library has received many valuable
donations of public and permanent interest
presented by different persons, much the
greater part have been received from the
Hon. V.B. Horton. The Library Room
has been enlarged and improved in many
respects. The fence along the College
campus has been renewed and repaired,
the College buildings have been in part
painted and other repairs have been made
under the supervision of the committee
who will in due time submit their
report. The following young [men][crossed out]
Gentlemen have completed the course of study
prescribed and are hereby recommended
for their degree, Messrs Hugh Boyd, James
H. Gardner, Allan Davis, Joseph McKendree Goodspeed,
Findley Robertson Hanna, for the degree of A.B.
And Messrs Charles Selden Smart, & William Rosefield
Smith for the degree of B.S.
I herewith submit an account of the
orders [?decision?] by me on the Auditor accending
to the provisions of the Board, Items
amounting to One hundred Six Dollars
and Sixty one cents,

made the following report, which was read and
ordered to be recordered, to wit:
To the Board of Trustees of the Ohio University
Your committee respectfully report,
That they have made their examinations
as thorough as other unavoidable engagements
would permit. It need not be said that
it has afforded them sincere pleasure to
witness the advanced state of Educaition
in these halls, and the faculties furnished
