Annual meeting of the Board August 6th 1857
Thursday morning seven and half o'clock August 6th
1857 the Board met pursuant to adjournment
present. Doc. Howard, William Aikin, George M. Woodbridge
Amos Miller, John E. Hanna, Horace Wilson, joseph
W. Dan, Leonidas Jewett, William J. Hand, A.G. Brown.

The degree of "master of arts" was on motion, conferred
in course, on the graduating class of 1854; that is
to say on Edward L. Johnson, Edward W. Mulhken,
Thomas O. Osborne-

The degree of L.L.D. was by a unanimous
vote of the Board conferred on the Hon.
Thomas Erving at Lancaster Ohio.

On motion fifty dollars was appropriated
to pay for the expense of music at this
commencement.
On motion the sum of fifty dollars was
appropriated to pay for the catalogues of
this year.

One hundred dollars was placed in the
hands of the president to pay for the
extra tracking during the coming
year.

On motion the time for the Expiration
of the limited scholarships was extended
to the year 1863-
