Annual Meeting of the Board Tuesday July 29 1856
Our great want now is a University Lecture Room or Chapel,
and Halls for the Literary Societies of the College-
The faculty deeply feel the importance of this, and we do
not believe the University can be improved much beyond
its present state till this be done.
Of the fund set apart for hiring the requisite assistance
in the preparitory department, the following sums have
been appropriated to the following persons to wit:
To Mr Bellinghurst for teaching one class 1st Term 15.00
" J.K. Mower " " " " " " 6.00
" E.H. Guthrie " " " " " " 15 00
" T. Carlton " " " " " " 15.00
" A.G. Dyas " " " " " " 15 00
In all, $66.00
This has been paid for assistance in the preparitory
department-
I herewith submit in compliance with order
of the Board an account of the contingent Expenses of the
University incured and paid under my directions
of the Board-
