Annual Meeting August 1st A.D. 1855.
Hon: Calvery Morris Auditor for the unexpired
Term occasioned by the decease of William H.
Bartlett Esqr
The Hon C. Morris was there Elected Auditor for the
year commencing 1st January A.D. 1856. Horace
Wilson Secretary, General John Brown Treasurer,
and Abel Stedman Collector, Their Term of
Office respectively to Commence with 1st
January A.D. 1856
On Motion the Board adjourned untill
two Oclock P.M.
Afternoon Session-
The Board Met pursuant to adjournment
present as in the forenoon, with addition
of the Hon V.B. Horton-
The Acting Committee made their report as
to the resignation of Proff. A Ballard and
the death of William H. Bartlett, and their
appointment of J.H. Leavett proff of Languages and
C. Morris Auditor pro term to fill the vacancy caused by said Bartlett
decease -Which report was on motion [ordered][crossed out]
[was][crossed out] accepted, and ordered to be recorded-
On Motion Messrs Horton, Jewett, & Brown
were appointed Committee, on the report
of the Comitee of finance-
On Motion there was thirty dollars
appropriated for the purpose defraying
the Expense incurred for Music- On Motion
It is Ordered that hereafter Each Student be and
is hereby required to pay to the Treasury at the time of
Entering his Scholarship, Each Term, the sum of
one dollar to defray the incidental Expenses of
the university.

Afternoon Session
Present as in the morning, also B. Horton
Acting Committee reported Accepted and ordered
to be recorded The class of 52 was
referred to committee on degrees Report of the
committee on the resignation of Prof. Lears accepted
Messrs. Horton, Jewett, & Brown, committee on
