The Acting Committing of the Board of Trustees
of the Ohio University at a Meeting on the 6th
A.D. 1853
day of January,^ Present. Leonidas Jewett, Esq.
Joseph M. Dana Esq. and Horace Wilson. The following
Resolution [crossed out]that[end crossed out] was adopted
Resolved that the proceedings of the acting
Committee of the said Board, be Entered upon
the Minute Book of said Trustees
On Motion of Joseph M. Dana Esq. the
Hon. Calvary Morris was appointed Auditor
of the Ohio University to fill the vacancy
occasioned by the death of William H.
Bartlett Esq. That said Morris give bond
according to fees in the sum of two thousand
[crossed out] ?hundred? [end crossed out] dollars, subject to the approval of
the Acting Committing, whereupon the said
C. Morris append accepted said appointment and
gave Bonds with JL Kissinger, and Joseph
Jewett Security, which was approved by said
said Committee & filed with the Secretary-
