This ed. is to be considered as a privately printed book,
and not intended for sale. It seems he copies passed
out of the possession of Maximilian until some time after
his death, for the whole stock of copies lay in 6 chests at
Augsburg until March 1526.

Maximilian died 12 Jan. 1519 + Schonsperger in the
same year, soon after the publication fo the 2nd ed.

R. Muther $45 The 2nd (1519) ed. of Theurerdank had only 115 illustrations ie.
3 less than the first. It lacks #14, 31 +40.
- The 1st ed is vastly superior to the 2nd in the carefulness
of the type work + the beauty of the impressions.
The dedication to Charles V is dated 1 March 1517
