The 1st product of Hammon as an idependent
printer after his association with H. Liechtenstein in 1482
was the Chartres Breviary 7 Nov. 1486. In 1487 he was
in partnership with Emericus, but in 1488 again printed
alone, + so continued until 1500.
Haebler - J. Hamman, called Henzog, of Landau in the diocese of Speier,
at 1st worked with H. Liechtenstein of Cologne. From 1488 he
was his own master. In 1493 there was a change + from
that time, the greater part of his books were printed to
the orders, partly of Venetian booksellers, but partly also
of foreigners. Among the yonger printers in Venice, he
was especially devoted to the printing of liturgial books.
- A. de Bitonto, Franciscan friar, was professor of
theology at Ferrara, Bologna + Mantua.
