Ulm in 1499.
Hind - "The Sealen wurzgarten book, with its 19 blocks repeated so as to offer
134 illustrations, is an egregious example of an economy of illustrative
material frequently practiced by the printers of the time."
The Sealen - Wurzgarten is an anonymous devotional tract filled
with many exempla. Several earlier ed. were printed, but
Dinckmut's was the 1st with illustrations.
