St. Bruno ( d. 1045) was the son of Conrad ,Duke of Carinthia, &
renowned for his scholarship & wisdom.
A volume of great typographical interest , employing 2 colors
& greatly contrasting types.
St. Bruno of Cologne (b. about 1030 - 40) founded the Carthusian order
by establishing a monastary at a desolate spot named
Chartreuse in the Alps near Grenoble (having declined the
archbishoprie of Reims) He died 1101 6 at Calabria, Italy.
A handsomely printed version of the Psalms & commentary ,
in which the Psalms in large Type occupy the inside
column , - the commentary in 2 sizes of small type on
the outside
