* Grusinger's readings to manufacture a new fount on the
smallest provocation makes it probable that the 'Vitas
Patrum' group are from his press, through the evidence
for positively assigning him to them is insufficient.
- a strong claim has been established on his behalf
i.e. Pruss to the 2 editions of 'Vita Patrum' + the
Anti Christ which if the evidence as to the historiated
capital M mentioned in the notes had been discovered
earlier, would probably have been frankly attributed
to him.

Vitas Patrum - a collection of lives of the Desert Fathers,
wrongly ascribed to St. Jerome.
- St. Jerome's populat collection of biographies of the
early Eastern monks + hermits. The Altuaeter is a real
"reading book". Although the whole collection passes under
the name of St. Hieronymus, actually only a small part of
the work is by him.
