Goff L 218 1493 - 1st ed. of a rich alphabetical dictionary of geography
comrising the extent of geographical knowledge at the time of
Columbus + Cabot's voyages to America. At the end of the

continents.
Z. Lilius was a native of Vicenza: he was a friend of
Matthaeus Bosso (1428-1502) to whom he dedicated this
work. Like Bosso, Lilius was Canonicus at the Lateran
in Rome; but later he became Bishop of Sebaste in Asmenis.
-Lilius was an Italian Geographer from the 15C. His Orbis
Breviarium seems not to contain one line founded on original
investigations, or a single expression alluding to the great
geographical discoveries during the century in which he lived.
