The arrangement between the Faculty of Education and
the City School Board needed, in the nature of things,
some slight adjustment from time to time, and this year
a new understanding, and for a specified time, was
arrived at, and carried out with satisfaction to all
concerned.

The Principal announced a fact of more than passing
interest, to the effect that William Snodgrass of Glasgow,
son of Ex-Principal Snodgrass, of the University, had placed
at their disposal six shares of the 7% Consolidated Fund
of the city of Montreal, and that the shares were worth
about 175. The Treasurer was authorized to sell said shares
for 175 and acknowledge the gift.

The General Assembly, of June 1909, acknowledged in
sympathetic terms the Board's memorial of April preceding,
and appointed a Commission to confer with the Board
on the question involved, viz. the proposed change in the
Charter. At the next meeting, Oct. 1909, the Board expressed
its gratification at the reply of the Assembly, and at the
appointment of the Commission as desired.

For the consideration of the Commission the Board would
draw attention to the following facts: The Constitution
of the University had been modified in 1874, in 1888,
and in 1904, the changes being such as to broaden
