I have had letters from a friend in London-

As her long avoided imbelief in a future state forbids her the prospect of meeting him in the future, they say she is very [coretsched?], and will not consent to any thing that will help her in any way that she will not ride or walk-or any thing her friends wish, and they say

She has many friends and very good ones, It is quite possible that you may not remember so much about her as I think her name is Ernestinea Rose, she is a native of Poland, but was brought up in Germany-her father was a Jewish Rabbi-she went to England [married?] William Rose-they came to America with the elder Protest Owen many years ago-and Ms. Rose was for years the most elongent advocate of Women Suffrage.

About a dozen years ago they returned to England-as they said because it did not cost so much to live in London as in New York.
