Packet ship called the [Stadagon?] of Londonderry
bound from St. Johns. Owing to rough weather
she was unable to land her pilot and request-
ed us to take him to Phila or put him on
the first ship we should meet bound for St.
Johns. We took the pilot and his small
boat on board and proceeded on our way.

Monday Aug. 19

Went to be early last evening quite
seasick. I think if I were on the Wyoming
for forty years I should never get used
to her rolling and pitching. We have had
a fine day for provision day bright and
warm.

Sunday Aug. 20

Exceedingly foggy nearly all day. We are
making but little at present towards
Phila. We are tacking about S.E. and
N.W. continuously.

Wednesday Aug. 21

A very lovely day, but a dead calm
