Afterwards we spent the evening at Mr.
Jewell's

Friday July 5th

Went to Euston Square to see after the
trams to Liverpool. Thence we went to
Praedier's where we had tea. At 8 o'clock
I met Jewell and we went to the Pavilion
Music Hall. Returning we called on a friend
of his named Matt Lewis.

Saturday July 6th

I finished upon at the shop today and
bad them all a final goodbye. Lizzie
and I went to Madame Toussaud's
Wax Work Exhibition this afternoon; and
this evening I hurried out to New Cross
and walked down to East Greenwich to
bid the Brains goodbye. Got to bed about
one o'clock.

Tuesday July 16th

After several days delay we are at length
comfortably housed on board the ship
Wyoming bound from Liverpool and home
for Philadelphia and home. On Sunday
week having bid everybody whom I knew
