Tuesday June 18th

Went to the Adelphi Theatre to see the
play of "Dora." Also a farce "A slice of
good luck".

Sunday June 23rd

Went up to London, took a ride up to
Westminster by boat; walked down the
Strand, dined at Uncles. Went up
into the steeple of St Giles in the
afternoon. Saw the chimes play. Lizzie
and I walked up to St. James Park
in the evening.

Wednesday June 26

I bade Mr. Purslow's friends goodbye
this evening. Returning home I noticed how boring
and long the evening twilight is at
this particular season in England. As
I was crossing London Bridge at 1/2 past
ten in the s evening light was still
lingering in the western sky.

Sunday June 30th

We took a very long wal kthis morning
to Peckham with Mr. Morton. After dinner
Lizzie and I went to see Aunt Battersby

Line Breaks: Hit return once after each line ends. Two returns indicate a new paragraph, which is usually indentation following the preceding sentence in the original. The times at the end of each entry should get their own paragraph, since the software does not support indentation in the transcriptions.
Illegible text: Indicate illegible readings in single square brackets: [Dr?]
