Newington and Highburg. We went to St
Michaels Church, evening service. Returned
by North London Rail to Broad St.

Monday May 7th 1867

Went up to the West End this evening to
see if I could see anything of the
Reform Demonstration. Went as far as
Charing X. Walked slowly back and called
in at Exeter Hall, at a Ragged School
Meeting. Stopped there four minutes and
returned home.

Wednesday May 9th

Lizzie and I went to Highbury Barn.
Had a very pleasant walk there. The
gardens were beautifully illuminated.

Monday May 13th

Yesterday Lizzie and I went up to Holloway
to see the Mullen's; had a most dif-
ficult job to get there on account of
the rain which came down in torrents.
We went to St Paul's Cathedral morning
service, and took an omnibus at the
[Mansion?] House, which we got after
waiting a considerable time in the rain.
