Tuesday March 5th 1867

Went this evening to the new Holborn
Theatre to see the "Flying Sand".

Sunday Mar. 10th

Thomas and I went to Mr. James Causton's
and took tea with him. We had con-
siderable difficulty to find his house,
situated in the remote district of South
Hackney, owing to our not having the proper
directions. We spent a very pleasant af
ternoon and evening; the weather was
west and disagreeable.

Tuesday Mar. 12th

Went this evening to the Strand Theatre
saw the burlesque of "Esmaralda" or "The
Sensative Goat"; and a farce called
"A Suit of Tweeds". Returned home
through a blinding snow storm.

Sunday Mar. 17th

Stopped at home. After dinner Lizzie
came down and we all took a walk
to Mrs. Edwards to tea. Lizzie stopped
at our house all night, and returned
to town in the morning
