Sunday Feb. 3rd 1867

Thomas and I took a walk to Forest
Hill, along the side of the railway for a
considerable distance. It was a beau-
tiful day but very muddy. We walked
through the town and ascended a hill
in the vicinity called Semaphore Hill
and had an extended view of the
surrounding country. After dinner I
went up to the city and Lizzie and I
went to St. Paul's Cathedral; heard a
sermon by the Rev. Mr. Sandford of Edinburgh.

Wednesday Feb. 6th 1867

Tom and his wife, Lizzie and I went to the
Grecian to see the Pantomime entitled
"The Devil on two sticks".

Sunday Feb. 10th

Took a very long walk this morning
to Trafalgar Square by way of the New
Cut and Westminster Bridge; had a
look at the lions. After tea Lizzie and
I went to Mrs. Battersbys, Lichfield St.
