Went this evening to the Praedier's where
I met Lizzie and spent a very pleasant
evening, playing Vingt-et-un, a lively
game at cards.

Sunday Sept 16

Lizzie and I started this morning by train
from Broad St en route for Kew, and
Hampton Court. It was rather pleasant
on starting, though rather close, and we
had a pleasant ride down, but no reaching
Kew it commenced to rain and we were
obliged to put up for an hour at the
"Star and Garter" tavern at Kew, where
