Sunday June 10th

A very warm day; Thomas and I
took our usual morning walk to the
Park. In the evening we walked to
Brockley Jack.

Sunday June 17

Walked to Greenwich Park this morning;
this evening we walked to Brockley Jack
through the meadows, where the grass was
being cut, it was very pleasant and
the air was perfumed with the fragrance
of the new mown hay.

Thursday June 21

Went to the Standard Theatre. Saw
a burlesque entitled "Sappho". I returned
home through the rain and got com-
pletely soaked.

Sunday June 23

This morning we took a walk to Lewisham
after which as it was Uncle's birthday as
well as Father's, Tom and I went up
to the City and dined with Uncle
and Aunt Ames. We returned home
rather early and took a walk to Mr.
