the day was fine overhead and we
had a most pleasant walk. When
we reached Eltham we surveyed
the only object of interest there, viz:
the ruins of King John's Palace, after
which we had some refreshment and
returned home, part of the way by
omnibus, and the remainder by train.
Tuesday Mar. 20
Went this evening to the Grecian to see
the Pantomime of the Bottle Imp.
Sunday Mar. 25
Went up to London; took a short walk
with Uncle and called at Carthusian
St. on the old maids.
Friday Mar. 30
Being Good Friday, I had a holiday
and went as usual to the Crystal
Palace. I called on Mr. Whittall
at his office, and he gave me a
ticket for a reserved seat which
