Sunday Mar. 4th 1866

spent the day at Uncles; took a long
walk this morning to the West End.
After ten Aunt and I went to see
Uncle William who he's very low with
the Bronchitus, and who is not expected
to live.
Wednesday Mar. 7
Heard of Uncle William's death this evening
Sunday mar. 11
Tom, Frank and his four boys and I took
our usual morning walk through Lewisham
and across the heath and through the park.
Wednesday Mar 14
Went today to Uncle William's funeral
which took place at one o'clock. There
were but five mourners, viz; Uncle
Thomas and his son, John Mullens,
Frank Whittall and myself, occupying
one coach. When we reached the
house, we were fitted out by the under
taker, with cloack, crape hat-[burial?],
and gloves, and we were then
ushered into another room, where
