reached home shortly after twelve.
Sunday Aug. 6th 1865
Tom, Mr. Jewry and I, had a morning
walk in the park, called on the Bishop's
at the Loord Hood; Tom, his wife and I
went to tea at Mr. Whittall's. A
Sunday Aug. 13
My twenty-fifth birthday: stopped at home
all day; Mr. Jewry, Am and I took a
morning walk to Greenwich; wrote a
letter this afternoon; took a walk to
Brockley Jack this evening.
Sunday Aug. 20
Went up to London; introduced to Dr.
Thomas an old school-fellow of Papa's.
After dinner Miss D. and I walked
to Holloway to see the Mullen's; took
tea with them; returned by omnibus,
as it was raining excesisvely; returned
to New Cross by eleven o'clock tram.
