Chimpanzee and other monkeys, we
took a stroll in the grounds, and thence
to the train. Being rather early we did
not experience the same difficulty in
getting a seat as we should, later in
the day and we escaped being
crushed. The remainder of the day I
spent at home and after a game
of Cribbage with Miss [Wonkiworth?], a poor
deformed sister of Tom's wife who is
living with us. I went to bed pretty
well knocked up with my day's amuse-
ment.

Sunday Apr. 16

Easter Sunday, and a beautiful day: a
day which will be enjoyed by thousands
of English people. I am at present suffering
from a bad cold. We took a walk this
morning to Greenwich Park, and again
after tea, where we were highly amused
at the young man and girls running
down the Observatory Hill, an amuse-
ment which seems to be very much
in favor with the people who visit the
