took a morning walk to Greenwich Park
through the snow. The Park looked very
beautiful under its pure white mantle.
I have a very bad ringworm on my neck

Sunday Dec. 25

Christmas day. I spent the day with Uncle
Thomas, who is going to keep tomorrow as
Christmas. In the evening Miss Dunn and
I went to see her brother at Kingsland.

Monday Dec 26

A general holiday; today being generally
kept as Christmas Day. I went to the
British Museum this morning, and
spent two hours looking at that immense
collection of curiosities. Dined with
Uncle T. There was a very large party
consisting of Aunt Ames and Edwin [Cribbe?];
Mr. and Mrs. Mullen and three of their
children. Cousin Emma and two
children from Lewis, and the old folks
Uncle and Aunt and Miss Dunn. I
spent a very pleasant afternoon and
had an interesting game of whist in the evening
