Deptford Institute consisting of an entertain-
panorama of American Scenery. It was a
very poor affair.

Sunday Dec. 4th 1864

Went up to London. Uncle, Aunt and I took
a walk to see the Whithalls, before dinner
After tea Miss Dunn and I took a walk
up the strand and over Westminster
and Blackfriars Bridges; reached home
about ten. Cousin Tom very bad with
the Bronchitus.

Friday Dec. 9

Went to a penny reading at the Institute

Sunday Dec. 11

Thomas and Walter, Mr Barrel and I
took a walk around Greenwich this
morning.

Sunday Dec. 18

A very wintry day. The snow was falling
gently when I awoke this morning and has
continued at intervals throughout the
day; the ground is covered to the depth of
an couple of inches which is considered a
heavy fall here. T. Mr Barrel and I
