any of the amusements which seemed to me
to be of the most vulgar and roughest
character, and after walking about for an
hour we returned home.

Sunday Oct 23rd

This morning Mr Barrel, Tom and I took
a walk through Greenwich Park; we hunted
chesnuts under the trees but found none;
called at Mr. Bishop's who keeps a Public
House in Bridge St.. Took a walk to Camber-
well to see Mr and Mrs Emerson.

Monday Oct. 24

Had a game of whist with Uncle Thomas.

Wednesday Oct. 26

Very sick all night with the Cholera Morbus,
much beteter this evening.

Sunday Oct. 30.

Spent the day with Uncle. Took a walk
this morning to Blackfriars Bridge; went
to St. Giles Copplegate afternoon service;
went to see Cousin Elizabeth where I had
supper; reached home at eleven.
