Went this evening to the Surrey Theatre;
saw part of Hamlet; and a sensational
drama called "A Fight with Fate", in
which the principal scene represented
a ship on fire.

Sunday Oct 16

Went up to London and spent hte day with
Uncle Thomas. Saw Uncle William and
~~Uncle~~ John Mullens in the evening.

Wednesday Oct 19

Went this evening with Thomas to Charlton
Fair. We went by rail. There was plenty of
life and amusement going on: shows
of all sorts being in abundance. Almost
