in there was a large and enthusiastic
cheer from the assembled crowd. I
spent nearly two hours looking at these
innocent ausements of the people,and
when at last tired and exhausted I
turned homeward. The jam was as great
the vehicles as numerous and the
amusement as unabated as when two
hours earlier. I started forth. I am told
that these scenes last till very late the
following morning.

Saturday May 28
Got home early and spent the evening
with T. and [[Mr. Norris]] at the house of
the latter in [[Greenwich]].

Sunday May 29
Went up to [[London]] and spent the day
at Uncle T's. Went to [[St. Michael's Cornhill]]
morning service. After tea Uncle and I
went by Underground Rail to see [[Maryanne]]
who lives at [[Pentonville]].
