Mr. Patey, Mr. Weiss, Madame Rudersdorf and
other great singers of the day. After
the concert was over the people returned
to the grounds where various sports such
as "Kiss in the ring" were going on. I
walked about the grounds for an hour or
two but being alone I did not enter into
any of the amusements which seemed to
delight the people. I reached home
pretty much fatigued about ten o'clock.
This being Easter day and the weather rather
inclement T. and I went to St Paul's
Deptford. After tea we took a walk to
Greenwich Park. A large crowd of people
were here assembled. Running down
the hill sides was the amusements most
in favor with the people and great
was there shout of laughter when
some unlucky young lady tripped
and fell, especially when her clothes flew
over her head thereby exposing her to
the gaze of the crowd. I thought it
was rather an indecent recreation
